In common with every community council in Scotland, our function is to ascertain, co-ordinate and express the views of our local community to local authorities and other public bodies operating in our area, taking any lawful action in pursuit of the interests of the residents in our area. Community Councils are consulted on local planning issues and licensing issues affecting their area. We operate under the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973. We are always interested in what the residents of our area have to say.
